Powder Brows

Powder brows (also known as powder brow tattoo or shaded brows) is a permanent makeup procedure for eyebrow enhancement in which the artist inserts cosmetic tattoo pigments into the top layers of the skin with a tattoo machine designed using the dotting technique, or pixelization. It is designed to create a soft, natural looking powder effect, very similar to a powder makeup.

Who is it for?

Powder brows can be performed on every skin type at every age. It is perfect for Clients who like to draw on their eyebrows daily but struggle creating an even shape or they just want to save time in the morning. It is also perfect for those who like to get their brows shaped and tinted regularly.  The best solution for athletes, swimmers and those who like to exercise often so they don't have to worry about their brows smudging.

How is it done?

We create personalised eyebrow shape individually for every Client.  During the treatment we map your face using a string and draw on a shape that best suits your facial features and natural eyebrows. Once we created a symmetrical shape we use a tattoo machine and a small needle to place pigment into the skin with a quick hand motion, resulting in a pixelated effect of powder makeup. In order to add density, we can layer the pixels repetitively, which will appear as though the brow was filled in with a pencil or brow pomade. The art in shading is to layer the pixels perfectly without appearing denser and darker then your natural eyebrow hair. We can create very soft, natural looks or a more defined makeup effect, depending on your preferences.

How many sessions do I need?

Most of the time 2 sessions are required to achieve the best results. A top up session is required 4-6 weeks after the initial treatment. This second appointment is included in the price.

How long does it last?

Powder brows can last anywhere between 1,5 - 3 years before they start to fade. Natural fading occurs from external factors such as exposure to the sun as well as internal factors such as the gradual break down of pigments as your body metabolizes it out of your system. Everyone can experience the fading process differently and it really comes down to different factors, such as the client's skin type, skin care and lifestyle. It is recommended to have a  touch-up every 1-2 years to maintin the crispness and freshness of the colour.
